Walk

As you will gather from the route maps, everything is pretty much within walking distance.
If your accomodation is located out of walking range of the bars you want to visit, then you may find it more convenient to get a taxi to where you are going (Old part of Town, Centro or Gros area) and then simply walk, before catching a taxi again back to your accomodation.
Make sure you wear comfortable flat walking shoes.
Be careful walking along the promenade on windy days.
The crashing waves are spectacular.... but you can get drenched...

Rent a Bicycle
Renting a bicycle is an inexpensive way to travel around town and increase the number of sights within your reach.
The city is predominantly flat and many of the local recommended things to do lend themselves to exploration by bicycle, even for less athletic and older visitors.
Each one of the Pintxo Routes in his website includes the location of some of the sights and things to do in the neighbourhood. These can be included in the pintxo bar crawl experience to broaden its appeal and to allow time between bars for the food to settle and make room for more !
See the map of sights within bicycle reach.
